Fundraising at Korematsu
To continue providing our children with an excellent, well-rounded education, we rely on your support.
The state of California ranks as one of the lowest in the nation in per student spending. Annually, our Korematsu PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) spends $80,000 to support our teachers and students to fill those gaps in funding. We are asking each Korematsu family to donate to help us reach our $80,000 goal for the Back-To-School Donation Drive. Our goal is 100% participation across Korematsu families. We recognize that $200 per family might not be feasible for everyone. We encourage you to contribute at ANY level. Every dollar gets us closer to our budget goal.
How is my donation used?
Your donation goes straight to the classroom! KPTO funds student and teacher enrichment that is critical in maintaining the quality of education we want for our children, and subsidizes many staff members’ salaries.

More ways to FUNdraise
Generous local restaurants donate a portion of their one-day proceeds to the KPTO. We schedule these in advance and typically have about one per month during the school year. Keep an eye out for the Takeout Tuesday announcements in your email or follow our social media accounts to find out this month’s restaurant, and plan to eat out to support Korematsu!
It is a time-honored tradition at our school to raise money for the 6th graders to attend camp by selling ice cream on Frozen Fridays. Come join us for a sweet, cold treat after a long week!
